My Professional Background
I am an experienced, qualified counsellor and an Accredited Member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). Alongside a comprehensive range of additional training, I hold an Advanced Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and a Diploma in Life Coaching. I have extensive experience working with diverse issues and cultural backgrounds, providing telephone and online counselling as well as life coaching.
I also provide Critical Incident Response, clinical assessments, and other counselling services to numerous Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs), including the Police Firearms Officers Association (PFOA) and various charitable organisations.
My Professional Experience
My working experience has been varied, challenging, and rewarding.
My career began in 2003 when I volunteered as a bereavement and loss counsellor at The Peace Hospice in Hertfordshire. In 2006, I relocated to West Sussex, where I worked for several years on government-funded projects in Southampton, Brighton, and London. As my career progressed, I gained substantial experience working within a clinical team as a counsellor and case manager for a global EAP provider. I then transitioned to a consultant role for a large corporate organisation, where I offered mental health advice to HR and managers, produced pension- and health-related reports, presented workshops, and provided on-site trauma support. During this time, I also delivered group life-coaching workshops and co-wrote and presented a paper at an international conference.
