What is Counselling?
Counselling is a talking therapy designed to help people navigate psychological or emotional issues and facilitate positive change in their lives. It offers you a confidential, safe space to explore, heal, and grow. Our work together will be engaging, supportive, non-judgmental, and, at times, gently challenging.
My Approach
My approach is integrative, with a core focus on Solution-Focused Therapy and life coaching. Being an integrative practitioner means I draw on a wide range of therapeutic models, allowing me to tailor my approach to your unique individual needs. I believe in holistic well-being—caring for your mind, body, and spirit—as physical health, emotions, and mental well-being are deeply interrelated and interdependent.
What to Expect in Your First Consultation
Each standard counselling session lasts for approximately 50 minutes and typically takes place on a weekly basis. To help you achieve the best possible outcome, our initial consultation will involve exploring your personal history, your current lifestyle, and the goals you want to achieve. We will also discuss practicalities, such as appointment availability and the ethical boundaries governing our therapeutic relationship.
Fees and Terms
- Investment: £65.00 per 50-minute session
- Payment: Fees must be paid via bank transfer at least 24 hours in advance of each session.
- Cancellation Policy: Missed appointments or cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice are payable in full.
Confidentiality
Client information is strictly confidential. However, in exceptional circumstances where your personal safety or the safety of others is deemed to be at risk, there is an ethical and legal requirement to share information with appropriate professionals. Wherever possible, this would be discussed with you first.
